BIts and Pieces – Studio News Winter 2013

Staff changes at Martha Street
Martha Street Studio would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to Andrea Roberts and Jaime Black.  Andrea worked at Martha Street as a studio technician and is now attending the MFA Sculpture Program at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Jaime held the position of Community Program Coordinator and has taken a year’s leave.

We are happy to welcome Peter Graham as our new studio technician and Sarah Crawley in the position of Community Program Coordinator. Peter is a talented printmaker specializing in etching and is also experienced in screen printing and lithography.  Since graduating from the U of M in 2011 he has been exploring non-toxic etching techniques, whose use he is keen to promote. Sarah is a photo-based artist with many years of experience working with arts organizations and other communities in Winnipeg in various capacities including arts administrator, technician, mentor and teacher.

We are proud to announce that we now offer no-compromise high-end scanning with our new virtual drum glassless Imacon Flextight Precision II scanner. Make superior scans of negatives and transparencies (up to 4×5”) without the artifacts caused by the glass in flatbed scanners.
