Subconscious Terrain // Tracy Peters April 17, 2021
This is a narrow, landscape orientation image. On the left half is a photograph of a grassy field, and a light blue sky with some wispy clouds. The sky takes up most of the image. A rectangle is embroidered in the centre. On the right half is black text over a light blue background. The text reads: "On this spot in 1645, the second week of Summer, 14-year old Oosawa Kakaike innini lost his quill quiver tie. Shortly after, he was injured in his first buffalo hunt. Suffering a pulled Achilles heel, he was forces to stay at the camp for the remainder of the summer. In 2004, on March 21st, Cody Fleury sustained a rather nasty infection after cutting his hand fencing this section. The scar is still visible." Virtual Artist Talk: Scott Benesiinaabandan March 3, 2021
Still image from a video work by April Dean. In this still, a print of a black and white image has colourful paint streaked in thin lines horizontally across it. The paint is in all the colours of the rainbow. The image is a plant cutting floating in a glass jar with water. Futures Barren/Futures Abundant // April Dean February 18, 2021
