Stephanie Whitehouse is a designer, planner and educator. She holds a bachelor of design in communication design from NSCAD and a master’s in city planning from the University of Manitoba. Her professional career has afforded her opportunities to work in New York, Toronto and Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, she has taught design theory at the University of Manitoba. She operated a design business—Public Image Co—working primarily for the non-profit sector for many years. More recently she worked for the City of Winnipeg in active transportation. She is interested in design, planning and education that expands public awareness of civic issues and builds community capacity.
